The StillStitch Standard: A Guide to Your Silhouette
Because each StillStitch piece is handcrafted to your unique proportions, accurate measurements are the foundation of a perfect fit. Please use a flexible measuring tape and measure over the undergarments you plan to wear with your garment.
Your vision, perfectly tailored
1. The Bust
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level and parallel to the floor. Do not pull the tape too tight; it should sit comfortably against the skin.
2. The Natural Waist
Find the narrowest part of your torso (typically just above the belly button). This is your natural waistline. Measure firmly but without restricting your breath.
3. The High Hip
Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat. This ensures that "Weighted Luxury" pieces drape beautifully without pulling.
4. Custom Length
For dresses, tops, or cardigans, measure from the high point of your shoulder (where a shirt seam would sit) down to your desired hemline.
5. Sleeve Length
Measure from the edge of your shoulder down to your wrist or your preferred sleeve ending point.
StillStitch Note: If you find yourself between two sizes on a specific design, we generally recommend choosing the larger measurement to allow for the natural weight and drape of our artisanal yarn.
